Guesty Secures $130 Million Funding Boost at $900 Million Valuation to Expand Property Management Services Beyond Airbnb

The travel and tourism industry has been experiencing a significant surge, with the global market expected to generate record-high sales of $11.1 trillion in 2024. Amidst this growth, Guesty, a platform that helps accommodation managers manage their business online, has secured a substantial round of funding.

A Big Round of Funding for Guesty

Guesty, based out of New York with roots in Israel, has raised $130 million in a Series F funding round. Sources close to the deal have confirmed that the company’s valuation stands at around $900 million post-money. The investment is led by KKR, with Apax Funds, Inovia, BDT & MSD Partners, and Sixth Street also participating.

Guesty’s Revenue Growth

The company has seen its revenue increase 5x in the last three years, and it expects to turn profitable this year. However, Guesty did not disclose actual revenue figures.

A Growing Market for Travel and Tourism

Post-COVID, the global travel and tourism sector has been experiencing a strong rebound. The World Tourism and Travel Council predicts that the industry will generate record-high sales of $11.1 trillion in 2024, despite tourism in the U.S. and China still catching up to pre-pandemic levels.

A Competitive Market for Guesty

Guesty’s funding round comes amidst a wave of investment in the travel and tourism sector. Its close competitor, Hostaway, raised $175 million last May, marking its first big funding round. GetYourGuide also secured $194 million at a $2 billion valuation just days after Hostaway’s announcement.

Mews Raising Funds

Another company building SaaS for hoteliers, Mews, raised $110 million at a $1.2 billion valuation in March. This trend is a strong reminder that investors are still willing to sign term sheets in the right circumstances.

Guesty’s Plans for Expansion

The funding will be used to expand Guesty’s platform and meet growing customer demand. "We’re thrilled to have KKR on board, as their expertise and resources will help us take our platform to the next level," said [Name], CEO of Guesty.
